Every summer, Voss becomes the center of extreme sports' biggest festival, and much of the wildest stuff happens right here at Voss Resort.

From June 20th to 28th, 2026, you can take the gondola up to Hangurstoppen and watch athletes compete in cycling, free flying and obstacle courses in the wild. And with us, you can experience it up close.

Bavallen Downhill – Nordic Downhill Series

Saturday, June 20th and Sunday, June 21st

One of Norway's most legendary downhill courses returns as an official stop on the Nordic Downhill Series. 100 riders, 4.5 km of steep and technical terrain from the top of the gondola down to the finish. Seeding Saturday, finals Sunday.

Freeflying

Saturday, June 20 – Sunday, June 28, daily from 08:30

Paragliding and speedriding pilots from all over the world take the gondola up to Hanguren and plunge into the fjord. Watch them soar over Voss in spectacular surroundings – all week long.

Bavalanche Chinese Downhill

Wednesday 24 June - start at 11:30 am

Mass start from the top of the gondola, down ski slopes, trail network and through the forest – all at the same time. It's chaotic, it's wild, and it's incredibly fun to watch. One of the great entertainment moments of the festival week.

Veko Enduro

Thursday, June 25 – from 10:00 AM

A multi-stage enduro race through untouched and demanding terrain in the Voss Mountains. The riders are tested on technique, endurance and ability to handle the unexpected. This is real mountain biking in a natural setting.

Vossakrigar – qualification

Thursday, June 25 – 2:00 PM, Voss Resort

Vossakrigar is the festival's own obstacle course competition - a tough and colorful combination of strength, agility and will. The qualification takes place on and around Hanguren, and the audience gets up close to the action on the slopes and in the water.

The Gondola – your ticket to the party

The gondola is the entrance to most of what's happening at Voss Resort during Extreme Sports Week. It runs from the center of Voss straight up to Hanguren. From there, you're in the middle of it all.
