Hangurstoppen – panoramic views, great skiing and food at its best
We have Northern Europe's largest and most modern gondola lift. It has nine cabins with space for 35 passengers in each cabin.
The gondola is open all year and gives you easy access to spectacular views, great nature experiences, delicious food and a range of activities in every season. It runs continuously, which means waiting times are minimal..
One gondola – endless possibilities
A gondola ride is much more than transport. It is an experience in itself, whether you want a simple change of scenery or a full day filled with activities.
During the winter the gondola opens at 09:00, allowing you to start your morning in the best possible way with a coffee at Hangurstoppen Restaurant while enjoying mountain views. At 09:30 the slopes are freshly prepared and ready for those eager to start skiing.
Buy gondola ticket
Most tickets can be purchased easily online. This saves time and lets you skip the queue at the ticket office. If you have bought a return or one way ticket in advance, you can go straight to the gondola.
Day pass and keycard
With our day passes, you can choose to use an existing keycard and top it up online. This allows you to skip the ticket queue and go straight to the turnstile. If you buy a day pass with a new keycard, you will need to collect the card from one of our ticket machines.
Season tickets and annual passes can also be purchased online.

Ticket machine and guest service
You can buy gondola tickets at the ticket machines at both the lower and upper stations. If you need a bicycle ticket, it can be purchased at guest service.
Food experience 818 meters above sea level
Hangurstoppen Restaurant, located in the heart of Voss Resort, has large windows and a spacious outdoor area that makes nature part of the meal. It gives you the true feeling of being in the high mountains.
The menu is full of tasty favourites: fresh salads, stone baked bruschetta, creamy pasta, hearty casseroles, juicy burgers, fish and meat dishes and stone oven baked pizzas.
Green travel route
It is easy to travel to Voss by car, bus or train from both Bergen and Oslo. The lower gondola station is located right next to Voss station, where buses, trains and taxis meet. This makes it simple for visitors to reach the mountains in an environmentally friendly way. If you travel from Bergen station, it takes about one and a half hours from boarding the train to standing at Hangurstoppen.
