Voss Resort – closer than you think

Voss Resort is located in the heart of Fjord Norway, only 99 km from Bergen and close to the center of Voss. The ski resort has two welcome centers: one by the gondola in the center of Voss and one in Bavallen, about 5 km from the center. Our cabins are also located in Bavallen.

It is easy to travel to Voss by car, bus and train from Bergen and Oslo. Bergen Airport, Flesland, is the nearest airport – just 1.5 hours from Voss Resort and offers good domestic and international routes.

Travel green by gondola

The lower station of the gondola is located at Voss Railway Station, where buses, trains and taxis meet. From here you can get straight to the mountains in an environmentally friendly and easy way. The travel time from Bergen is approx. 1.5 hours from the time you board the train until you are at Hanguren ready for adventures both summer and winter.

There are several regional and express buses that run to Voss.

Free bus from Voss to Bavallen and Tråstølen

We offer free weekly transport from Voss station to Bavallstunet and further up to Tråstølen. This service runs throughout the season, with return transport every Sunday.

Route and stops

  • Departure from Voss station: Bus stop at Voss Kulturhus (same place as the ski bus to Myrkdalen).
  • The bus continues to Bavallstunet (reception) and up to Tråstølen (parking lot).
  • Return on Sunday from Tråstølen, with stops along the main road through Tråstølen cabin camp, Bavallstunet reception and on to Voss station.

  • Last departure: Sunday, April 12

Parking in Voss Resort – area and prices

Buy season tickets at the parking lot

For the upcoming winter season, we will be offering a seasonal parking pass for 990 NOK. The pass is valid during the ski resort's opening hours throughout the entire ski season, as long as there is free capacity. This is not a running subscription and you must purchase a new one before each season.

Do you own multiple cars?

You can register multiple vehicles on the same profile when you purchase a season ticket for parking. Please note that you can only park with one car at a time.

This makes it easy for you to switch between different cars, but remember to check that the right car is activated before you park.

Low season

  • 15 NOK/hour – max 75 NOK/day
  • Valid Monday–Thursday in weeks 50–51, 2–6, 10–13 and 15

High season

  • NOK 25/hour - maximum NOK 125/day
  • Valid Friday–Sunday + weeks 52–1, 7–9 and 14

Free parking

Near the ski resort you will find several free parking spaces. See map for location.

Drop off

There is free parking for up to 1 hour at all drop-off parking lots. If you park for longer than 1 hour, the first hour is also considered paid time.

That's why I'm doing this.

The goal is to create better order in the parking areas, ensure good access for guests and emergency vehicles, and encourage carpooling where possible.

The initiative will contribute to a better experience for all guests and a more sustainable development of Voss Resort. Parking operations will be handled by the company OnePark.

Parking in the city center

If you are taking the gondola and are arriving by car, you can use one of the 1300 parking spaces in the center of Voss. A gondola ticket is always included when you buy a ski pass. In addition, all children under 7 years old travel free with the gondola, without needing their own pass.

Parking at Voss

Take the train to Voss

Voss has several daily departures and arrivals to and from Bergen and Oslo. The gondola is located right next to Voss Railway Station. Prices, timetables and booking tickets at www.vy.no.

Time to and from Voss:

  • Bergen: Approximately 1 hour and 15 minutes.
  • Oslo: Approximately 6 hours
  • Flåm: About 1 hour and 45 minutes

If you come by train and are going to ski, you can go straight to the gondola when you arrive at Voss Station. All our ski passes include a gondola ticket. The gondola takes you to Hangurstoppen (where the Express lift comes up) in less than 10 minutes.

In other words, you can travel green and easily from the city center of Bergen or Oslo, all the way up to Hangurstoppen!
