Voss Resort – closer than you think
Voss Resort is located in the heart of Fjord Norway, only 99 km from Bergen and close to the center of Voss. The ski resort has two welcome centers: one by the gondola in the center of Voss and one in Bavallen, about 5 km from the center. Our cabins are also located in Bavallen.
It is easy to travel to Voss by car, bus and train from Bergen and Oslo. Bergen Airport, Flesland, is the nearest airport – just 1.5 hours from Voss Resort and offers good domestic and international routes.
Take the train to Voss
Voss has several daily departures and arrivals to and from Bergen and Oslo. The gondola is located right next to Voss Railway Station. Prices, timetables and booking tickets at www.vy.no.
Time to and from Voss:
- Bergen: Approximately 1 hour and 15 minutes.
- Oslo: Approximately 6 hours
- Flåm: About 1 hour and 45 minutes
If you come by train and are going to ski, you can go straight to the gondola when you arrive at Voss Station. All our ski passes include a gondola ticket. The gondola takes you to Hangurstoppen (where the Express lift comes up) in less than 10 minutes.
In other words, you can travel green and easily from the city center of Bergen or Oslo, all the way up to Hangurstoppen!
Travel green by gondola
The lower station of the gondola is located at Voss Railway Station, where buses, trains and taxis meet. From here you can get straight to the mountains in an environmentally friendly and easy way. The travel time from Bergen is approx. 1.5 hours from the time you board the train until you are at Hanguren ready for adventures both summer and winter.

Parking in the city center
If you are taking the gondola and are arriving by car, you can use one of the 1300 parking spaces in the center of Voss. A gondola ticket is always included when you buy a ski pass. In addition, all children under 7 years old travel free with the gondola, without needing their own pass.
