A trip on the gondola is much more than simply a lift ride. It is an experience out of the ordinary, whether you want a new view for a few hours or plan a full day packed with activities.
Time to get your heart rate up – walk or run from the top
Voss offers an impressive range of mountain hikes. From Hangurstoppen you can follow marked trails, walk for kilometres towards the summit of Lønahorgi (1410 metres above sea level), or enjoy a classic pole hunt along the way.

Summit experiences at a relaxed pace
With plenty of space for bikes, prams and equipment, the gondola makes the mountain accessible to everyone.
Next to the top station you will find the wonderful Hanguren Panorama trail. This route is suitable for families with or without prams, as well as visitors with reduced mobility.
The easy one kilometre trail can be walked or cycled and includes several viewpoints and photo spots. Here you get close to nature and can enjoy the surroundings from a fresh perspective. And why not try the famous Hangurshusko while taking in the majestic Voss mountains?
The circular path is also the starting point for paragliders, giving you front row views as athletes glide off the edge. It is not unusual for your heart rate to rise just from watching them.
Feeling a little daring – like Vossingane?
Why not paraglide back down? For the more adventurous, Hangurstoppen is a popular take off point.
From the top, you have easy access to two launch sites, excellent conditions and a 600 metre vertical drop with multiple route options. Voss Hang and Paragliding Club offers tandem flights throughout the season.
PS: Don't forget to charge your camera 😉

Proper coffee with a panoramic view
Hangurstoppen Restaurant opened in 2019 and offers perhaps the finest view in Norway. Located at the top station of the Voss Gondola, 818 metres above sea level, it provides panoramic views of the surrounding mountain landscape, including Gråsida, Hordnalsnuten and Lønahorgi.
