Bavallen Grand Prix – the winter season's fiercest team competition!

Saturday, March 21st at 08:00 the starting gun will go off for the Bavallen Grand Prix, a team competition where everyone can participate, regardless of skills. In the Bavallen Grand Prix, cabin neighbors compete against each other, there are company teams, groups of friends, family teams and the very serious ones. While some go all in to get the best time and have qualifying rounds to become part of a team, others are just there for fun – often in costume.
Each team consists of four people, and everyone will go through prepared trails throughout the resort. The event takes place in the morning before the ski resort opens. There are prizes for those who get the best time, but we also have an ideal time. This means that you can win, even if you are not the fastest.
New this year is that each team must consist of four people.
Registration
The entry fee is 3500 NOK per team, and includes breakfast and a ticket to après ski.
Registration will continue until it is full (max 60 teams). The age limit after the prize giving is 20 years.
Program for the day
- 06:45 – Ride up with the Bavallsekspressen and gondola
- 07:00 – Meet at Hangurstoppen Restaurant
- 07:30 – Runners' meeting at Hangurstoppen Restaurant
- 08:00 – Start the Bavallen Grand Prix
- 09:30 – Breakfast at Hangurstoppen Restaurant after the race.
- 15:30 – Après ski with prize giving and Skibarbula band at Hangurstoppen Restaurant
Après-ski
You must have an après-ski ticket to enter the après-ski at Hangurstoppen on this day. It is included in the entry fee for all participants.
If you are not participating, you must purchase your own après-ski ticket for NOK 150 (NOK 250 if you need gondola included).
During après ski you can buy real Greek gyros with juicy meat and fresh flavors.
