Ola and Yasmin – born with skis on their feet?
It may not be far from the truth to say that both Yasmin and Ola were born with skis on their feet, but at the very least they started early. They are both familiar faces at Voss Resort, and if you spot them on the slopes, you will see two people having a brilliant time – often from early morning until late in the evening.

– Until I am eighty!
When Ola was eight years old, he joined his older brother Ask on the slopes for the first time. Since then, he has spent most of his time in the park. He loves learning new tricks and constantly pushing himself with new challenges. According to Ola, pushing your limits is essential if you want to improve as a skier.
When we ask him how long he plans to keep skiing, he answers without hesitation: “Until I’m eighty!”
– The perfect ski day for me is to have a good breakfast and then go straight out skiing until late in the evening. And you have to eat during the day as well. Then it is straight back to skiing the next day,” says Ola Mortensson enthusiastically.

An arena for friendship and togetherness
Yasmin is very active and spends a lot of time on skis. She coaches at Voss Freestyle, where she trains, among others, a group of girls. Her aim is to help more people experience the joy of skiing and gain confidence in the park.
– It is really nice to feel the unity and the progression. The girls are simply having fun, and that creates a sense of accomplishment for everyone. I think they take that good feeling home and carry it with them all week. It creates pure joy,” says Yasmin.
She enjoys every side of skiing, from carving a good turn to riding powder or doing tricks in the park.
– When I click into my skis, I feel like a little child again. It is a fantastic feeling,” Yasmin says with a smile.
