Within walking distance of the centre

Hangursbanen is a local landmark. It is one of the biggest tourist attractions in Voss, and a trip on Dinglo and Danglo is definitely not to be missed. Hangursbanen is a short 10 minute walk from the city centre / the church.

When you reach the top you can enjoy good food and drinks outside or inside Hangursrestauranten, while you study the town of Voss from 660 m above sea level.

The Cable Car runs from June 1st - September 1st - Daily 10am - 5pm.

Hiking

The Hanguren area offers excellent walking for all ages and levels of fitness – simply choose a route to suit you. There are paths suitable for families with small children, and routes to push muscles and fitness to the limit. Wherever you walk, the beautiful countryside comes free! Pick up basic maps at the tourist information office, at Hangursbanen cable car station or at the restaurant.

The old saying certainly rings true when you set out on a walk. Enjoy a good meal and refreshing drink at Hangursrestauranten before or after your walk, or both! Choose from hot and cold dishes, cakes, ice cream, mineral water, beer and wine.

When the sun is shining, the terrace at Hangursrestauranten is one of the best places in Voss to enjoy a good meal. And it tastes even better after being out in the great outdoors.
